Exploring the Choice to Parent
Parenting can be one of the most meaningful and challenging decisions you’ll ever make. The thought of raising a child can make you feel excited and uncertain. You may ask yourself how you’ll manage, what kind of parent you’ll be, or where to start.
At Amnion Women’s Center, we understand that every parent’s journey is unique. That’s why our team is here to help you explore what parenting could look like in your life. Through free, confidential programs and personalized support, we’ll help you find tools, encouragement, and community resources to prepare you for the road ahead.
Assessing This Option
Becoming a parent is a big step. It’s normal to feel unsure about what comes next or to question whether you’re ready. Every person’s situation is different, and there’s no “perfect” way to prepare for parenthood.
You might be asking yourself:
- What excites me most about becoming a parent?
- What kind of support do I already have, and what support would help me feel more confident?
- How might parenting fit with my current goals, school, or career?
- What kind of parent do I want to be, and what values do I hope to teach my child?
- Who in my life can help me as I take this next step?
At Amnion Women’s Center, we want you to know that you don’t have to have every answer right now, that you don’t have to do this perfectly, or that you don’t have to do it alone. Our advocates are here to listen and help you explore what parenting could look like for you.
Together, we can help you build confidence and discover the resources to make your journey easier.
Empowering You With No-Cost Services
