Pregnancy Testing
Take the first step.
Start With An Answer You can trust
When you’re facing an unexpected pregnancy, clear answers matter. Whether you’ve already taken an at-home test or are still unsure, Amnion Women’s Center offers a safe, supportive environment to get the answers you need.
Our no-cost, confidential pregnancy testing provides results you can trust and the support you deserve as you take your next step.
Why Professional Testing Matters
At-home pregnancy tests can be a helpful first step, but they’re not always accurate. Testing too early, using an expired kit, or misreading the results can lead to confusion and unnecessary stress.
At Amnion, we provide medical-grade pregnancy testing that detects the pregnancy hormone, human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), with greater precision than most over-the-counter tests. Our nurses will review your results with you privately, answer your questions, and explain what the next steps could look like based on your unique situation.
When to Take a Test
If you’ve missed a period or are noticing symptoms like fatigue, nausea, breast tenderness, or mood changes, it may be time to take a test.
Additional symptoms to look for include:
- Frequent urination
- Bloating
- Cramping
- Constipation
- Food aversions
- Nasal congestion
For the most accurate results, experts recommend testing a few days after a missed period, preferably using your first morning urine sample when hormone levels are most concentrated.
If your test is negative but your symptoms persist, our team may recommend retesting after several days.
After a Positive Test
If your pregnancy test is positive, that’s an essential first step, but it doesn’t confirm all the details of your pregnancy. To protect your health, it’s essential to learn:
- How far along you are
- Whether the pregnancy is viable (developing with a detectable heartbeat)
- Where the pregnancy is located
You may qualify for a no-cost ultrasound at Amnion Women’s Center to confirm these details. Your nurse will guide you through this process and ensure you can access ongoing support and information.
You’re Not Alone
Discovering you might be pregnant can bring many emotions, but you don’t have to face them alone. We are here to listen, support, and walk with you through this moment and the ones that follow.
